Kendriya Vidyalaya Vikas Puri made a modest beginning from a humble initiative in 1988 in tents up to class V in 4.5 acres of land. Kendriya Vidyalaya Vikas Puri is civil sector school situated in Village Hastal in west Delhi District in state of Delhi.

Since then, the school has grown into a beautiful 4-storeyed building with lush green sprawling grassy grounds, Eco gardens and bio-park. It caters to the needs of 2600 students in I shift running in 4 sections up to class X and 6 sections in XI & XII with Science, Commerce & Humanities streams. Second shift is also operational for the past three years in two sections up to class X with strength of 900 students.
