Kendriya Vidyalaya Vikas Puri made a modest beginning from a humble initiative in 1988 in tents up to class V in 4.5 acres of land. Kendriya Vidyalaya Vikas Puri is civil sector school situated in Village Hastal in west Delhi District in state of Delhi
Since then, the school has grown into a beautiful 4-storeyed building with lush green sprawling grassy grounds, Eco gardens and bio-park. It caters to the needs of 2062 students in I shift running in 3 sections upto class II ,4 sections up to class X and 6 sections in XI & XII with 3 sections for Science, 2 sections for Commerce & 1 section for Humanities streams.
Second shift is also operational for the past five years in three sections up to class XI and XII running 2 sections for science stream and 1 section for commmerce stream with strength of 1301 students.
Vidyalaya tries to provide holistic education with intellectual development, physical growth with emphasis on sports and outdoor activities, spiritual elevation of children through meditation, stress management, inner peace and harmony.Special emphasis is made on culture activities.
